Hi All,

I am wondering if anyone has used approaches such as PD hearth, NIPP or other  in the prevention/treatment of MAM  in the context of the Middle East (particularly Syria)  that they could share?

I have seen case studies of its use in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe but I have not yet seen any examples from this region and am considering its feasibility.

Many Thanks,

Hi my name is hardi and i am a nutritionist in Ghana. We usually prepare a local ready to use food RUTF using readily  available local foods that i think you can also find those foods in the middle east. They include peanut paste, table sugar, vegetable oil and milk powder. we used measuring standards to measure these ingredients and mix them together to form  a nutrient parked food for malnourish children. Its used as an alternative to the plumpy nut. Servings are given with respect to the WHO standards of giving plumpynuts according to the child weight and age. Thank you
