I can't find any research related abstracts on the use of soy based RUSF Vs groundnut based RUSF for management of moderately malnourished children. If someone in the forum has details on the same, kindly share with me.
We have done 2 randomized controlled trials in Malawi of peanut/ soy paste vs peanut/ milk paste. Both indicated that recovery rates are similar. If you send me an e-mail I can attach the papers, my e-mail is manary@kids.wustl.edu. These were whole roasted soy beans which were milled, not some soy protein isolate, used in the trials. Soy itself doesn't make a good paste, that is why soy products are flours.

Is anyone using Moringa oleifera (Lam) foliar powder in RUTF nutritional recovery pastes? Can be reached at johnandsimone@yahoo.com. We would like to conduct some trials in DRC Congo and Burundi.
