Any experience from humanitarian orgs who have integrated SQ-LNS into their food assistance programming? I've reviewed the Operational Guidance provided by UC Davis SQ-LNS taskforce which is helpful, but seems more relevant to larger, longer-term responses in coordination with government vs smaller, short-term responses led by smaller NGOs in rural areas where health systems often do not reach. I'm wondering whether it would be appropriate for a 6-9 month response (I know 6m is the minimum recommended) in an IPC 3+ area that doesn't have the luxury of community health workers. Some basic sensitization and IYCF info would be provided alongside the SQ-LNS and household food rations. And what if the nutrition status of the population is unknown but the area is IPC 3 or worse? Would that justify an SQ-LNS component? Also would love to hear about cost-effectiveness compared with CSB++ or other FBF. Thanks in advance for any help!
