Dear  Team, I have reviewed through ENN to see if any formula can be used to estimate the BSFP sample for a coverage survey.

I read through the map-segment-sample technique discussion here  but it did not provide a formula that can help me get  an estimate of the number of BSFP cases I could look for in each segment

Looking forward to hearing from experts in this platform

Hi, Typically coverage surveys set out to assess the coverage of selective feeding programmes such as SAM or MAM treatment. But the suite of tools relating to the SQUEAC methodology can be adapted to blanket feeding programmes such as BSFP (as discussed in other other discussion linked above). Given that the number of possible beneficiaries is high for BSFP (presumably all children in a particular target area aged 6-59 months), setting a target sample of 96 within the target area would enable a coverage estimate with 95% confidence interval. These cases would then need to be identified using a sampling method that is spatially representative.
