In short, yes you can.
The GTAM technical brief actually states: "Adopt simplified RUF dosage (e.g. 1 sachet/day for uncomplicated moderate wasting, and 2 sachets/day for uncomplicated severe wasting)". Note "RUF", not 'RUTF'.
