We are looking for A MENTAL HEALTH AND CARE PRACTICES COORDINATOR Country: Bangladesh – based in Dhaka (about 65% of the time) with frequent field assignment in Cox Bazar (35%) Length of Contract: 6 months, starting as soon as possible Overall objective and responsibilities: To coordinate & supervise the Mental Health and Care Practices (MHCP) programs, guaranteeing the quality of the implementation and developing a relevant strategy. More specifically, the MHCP Coordinator will be charged to : Develop, monitor and supervise the action on the field of MHCP focusing on Cox Bazar program. - Monitor and supervise the program on the field - Manage the psychosocial team of the MHCP programs and train the team on specific topics - Supervise the data collection and the compilation for the Activity Progress Report - Monitor the budget allocated on the MHCP field - Maintain an integrated approach with the nutrition team - Liaise with the finance and the HR department and the field coordinator regarding the needs of the programs - Develop proposals for integrated MHCP activities along with other Heads of Departments Coordinate the identification of needs and develop a strategy on MHCP - Analyze the MHCP humanitarian situation - Disseminate information gathered and analyzed both internally and externally - Assess the needs and the draw up of proposal and concept notes - Launch advocacy activities within community and national health centers Promote capitalization through research and collection of qualitative data - Follow up the research in refugees camp - Maintain relationship with partners on the respect of deadlines and analyses of context - Follow the capitalization of tools and qualitative information in every different programs with MHCP part - Organize internal assessment on the impact of the different approaches Participate to the reinforcement of MHCP technical skills on the mission - Provide a direct support to the MHCP deputy Head of Department - Build his capacities on monitoring and coordination aspects - Provide technical support on the different bases where MHCP staff is working - Identify training needs and address them accordingly Represent Action contre la Faim and its positioning in the field of MHCP - Make national and international organizations and authorities aware of ACF positions and protocols - Implement technical advocacy in relation with the Country Director and other Heads of Department - Produce information concerning technical progress, impact of programs and results of research Qualification and previous experience: You hold a master degree in psychology or psychiatry, and demonstrate both successful clinical and humanitarian field experiences in mental health and care practices. Recognized for your relational and communicational skills, you have developed strong training and team supervision capacities. Your English (oral and written) is fluent.
