We invite applications from qualified candidates for the following position: The BNIP is a five-year project funded by World Vision Partnership and implemented by World Vision Bangladesh. The purpose of the position is to lead the project and is responsible for achieving the project’s vision and strategy, directing the project technical team, and managing critical relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The PM has overall programmatic and fiscal responsibility for the project, including achieving project results, effectively communicating accomplishments, making financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all World Vision regulations. Key responsibilities will include: • Serve as team leader charged with the development and execution of overall project strategy and work plan and achievement of project results. • Direct the Nutrition and Economic Development Coordinators & monitor implementation of activities within the work plan, maintaining a high professional standard. • Take the lead on senior-level policy and technical dialogue with the Ministry of Health, UN agencies and other key stakeholders, working in collaboration with Nutrition and Economic Development Coordinators, and other staff as appropriate. • Keep Donor Offices updated with program progress and ensure fundraising of funding gaps from World Vision Donor Offices or other external donors. • Oversees project budget development and undertake regular analysis of project expenditure and lead the preparation of budget amendments/modification for negotiation with World Vision Bangladesh Donor Offices. • Review and monitor program budget vs. actual expenditures including Life of Project (LOP) and Financial Reports and Monthly Expense Reports. • Supervise, mentor, and motivate project team which includes local and international staffs and international volunteers. • Ensure effective communication across the entire project with team and relevant stakeholders. This includes (1) providing regular briefings and updates to relevant parties (2) facilitating regular team meetings to share information across project components and (3) contribute to positive and smoothly functioning relationships with external stakeholders, including other similar nutrition initiatives. Qualification: • Master’s degree(s) in Nutrition or Public Health is required. • Strong program management skills are required as well as experience with establishing and maintain operations systems (general management and administration). • Advanced knowledge and technical expertise implementing Behavior Change Communication (BCC) in one or more of the following areas: nutrition, food security, maternal health, additional experience in training design and advocacy programs desirable. • Knowledge of Bangladesh health and nutrition sector and prior work experience in Bangladesh and South Asia is preferred. • Excellent communications skills in English (FSI level IV), both written and orally • Availability to travel minimum 40% of time in country and overseas. Experience: • At least 10 years of demonstrated similar experience as Project Manager of international donor-funded nutrition and health programs. • Previous experience working with UN agencies in nutrition or health programming is a plus. • Demonstrated facilitation and collaboration skills & proven experience as a team player. • Excellent computer skills (word, databases, spreadsheets, etc) are required.
