I am part of a team that is about to develop in-service training for a new cadre of nutrition officers in Tanzania. I would like to know if any one has any examples of the following from Sub-saharan Africa or Asia, etc.:
1. Defined competencies for a Nutrition Officer and/or Nutritionist
2. Needs Assessment that was used to help develop some type of in-service and/or pre-service nutrition training.
3. Any examples of nutrition in-service training that covers more than one technical area (beyond IYCN/ acute malnutrition management) one that is more comprehensive.
Any advice/suggestions are highly appreciated.
