Job Title Nutrition Programme Manager, Refugee Response Job Location Dolo Ado, Somali region, Ethiopia Reporting to Dolo Ado Programme Coordinator Contract Length 12 months Start Date Immediate GOAL is an international NGO that has been operational in Ethiopia since 1984, implementing humanitarian and development projects. Following the surge of Somali refugees arriving into Ethiopia in 2011, GOAL established a presence in Dolo Ado, where currently five refugee camps are located, hosting almost 150,000 refugees. GOAL is currently managing nutrition responses in Boramino camp, the transit and the pre-registration centres in Dolo Ado town (blanket supplementary feeding, wet feeding, management of severe acute malnutrition and nutrition surveys). GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a Nutrition Programme Manager who has both extensive managerial and technical experience working in a refugee context, preferably in the Horn of Africa. This is an exciting, challenging and indeed rewarding opportunity for the right candidate. The needs of the refugees are great, as are the challenges – the successful candidate will have the capacity and experience to deal with a complex programme in a challenging work and living environment, liaising with UN, government authorities and donors. There are very clear nutritional targets set for the GOAL programme, and in liaison with the Programme Manager and the team, the successful candidate will be directly responsible for achieving these targets.
