The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) is the agency responsible for managing the Australian Government’s official development assistance program. Australian assistance to Africa is increasing; to support this growth, AusAID is seeking high calibre staff for the recently-established Addis Ababa office. The Regional (East Africa) Health Adviser will provide AusAID with high quality technical health advice with a particular focus on maternal and child health (MCH) to assist AusAID to contribute effectively to improved MCH outcomes in East Africa and the Horn of Africa. Reporting to the First Secretary, Development, in Addis Ababa, the Adviser will play the lead technical role to develop and implement the $140 million Australia-Africa Maternal and Child Health Initiative in Eastern Africa. Annual salary range US$119,320 – 150,000, negotiable.
