This Nutrition for Growth (N4G) Summit 2025 side event highlights the critical connection between immunisation and nutrition services, emphasising their synergistic role in strengthening immunity and addressing malnutrition. There is significant untapped potential for:
- Immunisation services to serve as an entry point for nutrition services (and vice versa), reducing barriers and increasing coverage and impact.
- Linked services to be far more efficient and cost-effective.
- Better nutritional status to improve immune response to vaccines, thereby reducing morbidity and mortality.
By integrating these interventions, health systems are strengthened and can more effectively break the cycle of malnutrition and disease.
