Dear Colleagues,
This is to share some new resources on infant and young child feeding in emergencies:
- Roadmap for Complementary Feeding in Emergencies (ENN, 2024): the primary goal of this documentation is to collect evidence, share best practices and identify gaps, needs and enablers that can be addressed to improve the overall effectiveness of complementary feeding in emergencies.
- IYCF-E and MAMI: Working together to support the continuity of quality, respectful care for at-risk infants under six months and their mothers in humanitarian context (ENN, IFE Core Group, MAMI Global Network, 2024): this brief was developed to help to improve understanding of the synergies between infant and young child feeding in emergencies (IYCF-E)/infant feeding in emergencies (IFE) and the management of small and nutritionally at-risk infants under six months and their mothers (MAMI) to catalyse collaboration and strengthen practice in humanitarian contexts.
- Complementary feeding in emergencies (special compilation) (ENN, UNICEF, 2024): this is a special Field Exchange (FEX) compilation of complementary feeding programming in fragile and emergency contexts.
- IFE Core Group Mid-Term Review Summary Report (2024): in 2023, ENN commissioned a mid-term review to take stock and critically examine what the IFE Core Group is doing and how it is doing it, what has worked and what has not, and whether the needs and challenges that were present when the strategy was developed remain relevant or whether new needs, challenges and opportunities have emerged.
- IFE Core Group 2023 Annual Meeting Report: this year’s meeting was dedicated to reviewing the findings and recommendations of the Mid-Term Review conducted by an ENN consultant, Caroline Abla.
Thank you!
