A 9 month year old is severely underweight, at 5 month was diagnosed with hydrocephalus and recently liver disease. Can I give RUTF ..??
Yes, it would be fine to give RUTF for this severely underweight child, assuming they meet the usual CMAM requirements. Liver disease is not a contraindication. Also be sure to consider TB as a cause of both liver disease and severe malnutrition.
