Maternal mental health and the management of small and nutritionally at-risk infants under six months and their mothers (MAMI)
The MAMI Global Network invites you to complete this survey if you are involved in planning or providing care to small and nutritionally at-risk infants under six months and their mothers. Small and nutritionally at-risk infants under six months includes low birth weight infants, or infants who are identified as wasted/acutely malnourished, stunted, or underweight.
The purpose of this survey is to better understand the extent to which maternal mental health services are available and the challenges and opportunities associated with providing them in the context of managing small and nutritionally at-risk infants under six months. We want to identify the main challenges and opportunities for practitioners either directly providing and/or referring mothers into mental health services.
This survey has been prompted by challenges being highlighted to us by practitioners. We want to more comprehensively capture these. Your responses will help us learn from each other, inform what practitioner needs are, and help us to determine the best ways to address them. We will share the results with relevant stakeholders to increase their understanding of the needs regarding maternal mental health support and provide a short report on the MAMI Global Network webpage.
You can access the survey here. A French version of the survey is available here.
Please do share the survey with your colleagues and within your networks. It will be open until the 26th of September.
Thank you!
