ENN are working on a project to unpack learning around the use and quality of nutrition data. We would love to hear from you about the topics of interest and how to deliver the content in as useful and engaging way as possible.
On the 19th of July Nature Food released projections on how the COVID-19 crisis will exacerbate maternal and child undernutrition and child mortality in low- and middle-income countries (https://doi.org/10.1038/s43016-021-00319-4). Using three modelling tools, these projections estimate that under a moderate scenario COVID-19-related disruptions could result in an additional 9.3 million wasted children, 2.6 million stunted children and 2.1 million maternal anaemia cases by 2022.
How useful do you find these estimates and what would be helpful to support their interpretation and use? Would you be interested in listening to a podcast with the authors and, if so, what questions do you have?
