It's a very broad question, but basically, according to the SMART Methodology guidance (you can find it on www.smartmethodology.org), a good SMART survey is one:
-In which the objectives are specific, clear and measurable
-In which the survey methodology is well laid out
-In which training of enumerators is led by an experienced team
-In which the survey questionnaire and other tools are well prepared, translated, back translated and pre-tested
-In which all survey anthropometrists are subjected to a standardised test and pass thr test
-Which is conducted by a well trained and competent team
-In which data quality for anthropometric and other indicators meet the required standards
-In which data cleaning and analysis are conducted in a standard and structured way
-In which the report is finalised and disseminated timeously for use while results are still relevant
