Objective:
Conduct a review of existing community platforms that can be leveraged to increase access to wasting and other nutrition services.
Specific objectives:
- Identify and describe the major characteristics of the community health system in Papua New Guinea
- Define the characteristic of each platform in terms of:
- Service package (all services)
- Mode of delivery
- Scope for inclusion
- Gaps in Direct Nutrition Interventions
- Describe the level of operation and functionality of the major community health systems
- Coverage and scale
- Policy and governance (including financing)
- Programme characteristics (CHW AIM)
- Effectiveness
- Analysis: identify the important community health systems most appropriate for the integration of nutrition services.
