As requested by the authors, ENN is sharing a letter sent to officials and program officers at the World Health Organization (WHO) in February 2018, in response to a WHO guideline issued in September 2017 on management of overweight and obesity in childhood. The letter shares concerns regarding a recommendation on treatment of children with moderate acute malnutrition within this guideline (recommendation 1, page 4). A meeting is scheduled in the coming week to review this situation.
