In collaboration with the Senior Emergency Nutrition Advisor, the Senior CMAM and Emergency Nutrition Manager will be responsible for managing FANTA-2 technical assistance related to the assessment, prevention and management of severe and moderate acute malnutrition in development, emergency and HIV contexts. Management responsibilities include supervising teams of staff and consultants; establishing and strengthening systems within the cluster to ensure high quality and efficient technical assistance; allocating tasks and workloads among team members; coordinating and liaising with the project's communications, finance, and administrative staff; managing partnerships with sub-recipients and other partners; and supporting technical managers in developing and tracking budgets. The Manager will also provide a certain amount of direct technical assistance at country and global levels, such as developing and refining guidance and tools for community-based management of acute malnutrition (CMAM), designing and managing training and other capacity strengthening efforts for CMAM and emergency response, and participating in the design and implementation of assessments of CMAM and emergency nutrition programs. The Senior CMAM and Emergency Nutrition Manager will be based in Washington DC, with regular travel to the field anticipated.
Candidate must have a Masters degree in Nutrition or Public Health plus 11 years of experience.
