We are going to carry out integrated research on WASH, FSL and Nutrition, so anyone can guide me for measuring nutrition status of lactating women; . which group of lactating women should be included in survey for measurement of nutrition status i.e. the lactating women with child age up six month or lactating women with child up 24 month of age?
Dear Anonymous,
it depends on your purpose. What is the research intended to achieve? I cannot speculate so you need to provide more information....The group of lactating women also depends on your focus: lactation? maternal nutrition (including micronutrients)? etc.

Many thanks for response, our research based on to find out the impact of previously implemented WASH and FSL projects, with other indicator we want to calculate nutritional status of families; for that we want to know expert opinion for lactating women group ( mother with child age blow six months or mother with child age up to 24 month age) should be included in research for anthropometric measurements.

8 years agoIf your plan is to measure the impact of previous WASH and FSL interventions, i would like to ask the following;
1. Do you have baseline survey? If no, how do you know the contribution of the intervention? If yes, do you have control group? If no control groupe, how do you know the attribute factor of the intervetion.
2. If your FSL target was certain households and your anthropometry is populaion based, then how do interpret your resulsts
3. Target group - it seems that your target for the anthro is lactating women. Was the FSL focused on maternal nutrition related intervention?
