More about Oxford Policy Management and the Nutrition Portfolio

OPM is one of the world’s leading international policy development and management consultancies. We enable strategic decision-makers in the public and private sector to identify and implement sustainable solutions for reducing social and economic disadvantage in low- and middle-income countries.

Supported by a multinational team of just under 300 specialists on three continents, our success is based on a unique combination of high-quality analysis and 30 years’ practical experience of facilitating positive change in over 120 countries worldwide. The fields in which we operate range from health, nutrition, education and the extractive industries through to public sector finance and administration, social welfare, and national statistical systems and impact evaluation.

The Nutrition Portfolio at OPM was launched in 2014. While the portfolio is young, OPM has worked on a number of nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive projects over the years. This portfolio marks our commitment to building up our professional and technical expertise in the nutrition sector. Given the multi-sectoral determinants of malnutrition, the Portfolio is very well placed within OPM’s Social Policy Programme to work closely with OPM’s specialist portfolios in Health, Education, Water and Social Protection.

OPM’s Nutrition Portfolio has extensive experience in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems, operations research, cost-effectiveness analysis, costing of nutrition programmes and policies and mixed methods impact evaluations – involving experimental and quasi-experimental methods.
