Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent humanitarian organization providing medical aid to victims of man-made or natural disasters, epidemics and endemic diseases.In the MSF Operational Centre of Geneva (OCG), the steering and implementation of field programmes is under the responsibility of an Operations Department. The development of technical and/or strategic solutions adapted to complex medical challenges faced in the field, or to fulfill chosen medical ambitions, is under the responsibility of a Medical Department.
The nutrition advisor is working in the Medical Department, in close collaboration with the Operations Department.

Your Responsibilities
· To contribute to the development and follow up of nutrition activities (including
through field visits).
· To support field teams and polyvalent advisors on strategies and programme
implementation on nutrition (including through field visits).
· To monitor and follow up data and reports on nutrition
· To participate in the definition of HR competencies needed for nutrition interventions
· To brief and debrief expatriates assigned to nutrition activities
· To ensure a nutrition and food security surveillance of the countries (especily where
MSF-OCG is working)
· To proactively monitor emerging nutrition technical scientific evidences that might
shape MSF-OCG nutrition practices and ambitions; adapt external knowledge to MSF
contexts.
· To participate in international nutrition meetings/workshops (mainly MSF intersectionworking group on nutrition)

Your Profile
Education:
· Degree / Diploma in the nutrition field
· Nurse with master in nutrition
Experience:
· 3 years of professional experience in the field of nutrition (food security & nutrition
assesment, prevention & treatment of malnutrition programmes, …)
· HQ and/or regional position experience is an asset
· MSF experience is an asset

Languages:
Good working knowledge in English & French.

Personal qualities:
Good analytic skills; Good organizational and communication skills (afinity with advocacy is
an asset); ability to work independantly and under pressure; flexible; …

Terms of Employment
· Short-term contract and part-time position (5 months, 60%)
· From 1May 2016 to 30 September 2016
· Based in Geneva, with frequent travels to the field (around 3 field visits of 10-
15 days in the 5 months).
· Gross monthly salary (60%) : CHF 4’752.60
