Title: Emergency Nutrition Consultant
Purpose: To strengthen the implementation of facility and community based management of severe acute malnutrition, to ensure quality service delivery, regular program reporting and rational stock management.
Expected fee: L3 Level
Location: Chad
Duration: 6 Months (July to December 2010)
Expected background and Experience
1. Advanced university degree in nutrition/public health, with at least 3 years experience in setting up management of severe acute malnutrition programs.
2. Experience in working in difficult environments
3. Ability to work in culturally diverse and sensitive environments, and provide on-the-job training of national staff and counterparts
4. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, and meet tight deadlines
5. Fluency in written and spoken French
6. Good organizational and planning skills
7 Good analytical, negotiating and advocacy skills.
8. Good presentation and reporting skills.
