When calculating the sample size of the wide area survey,l used both the formula and the bayes calculator and they give different answers, so now am confused, which method should l use and secondly what are the advantages of using one over the other?

Difference should be very small. The algorithm in the SQUEAC calculator was written in a way that it rounded up the values to have a "safe" sample size, but differences should be very small. You can use the one you prefer, when you round up your own calculations you should come to the same size
