We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER Country: LIBERIA – Based in Sinje-Grand Cape Mount/Bopolu-Gbarpolu Length of Contract: 6 months, starting as soon as possible The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to establish and manage a nutrition and health programme. More precisely, you will be in charge to: Establish and supervise activities in the framework of nutritional projects • Management of the project cycle in nutrition and health • Meeting the objectives of ACF in the centres dealing with malnutrition • The quality of the programme for which he/she is responsible Organise staff development programmes for the ACF teams • Evaluation of the technical skill level of the ACF teams • Identification of training needs • Skills development for ACF staff in his/her programme • Ensuring the quality and pertinence of training programmes established for the ACF teams Training and managing the programme team • The twice yearly assessment of the skills and performance of the ACF teams in his/her programme • The management of his/her teams (leadership, monitoring, motivation....) Develop and direct operations • Proposing a strategy for addressing the problem of malnutrition which is adapted to the local context • Timely and high quality implementation of planned activities within his/her programme and alerting the Field Coordinator to any delays or excessive or under-use of resources • Timely and high quality reporting, both internal and external, of the activities of his/her programme, together with a critical analysis • Identifying and proposing the development of new programmes • Writing the nutritional and medical sections of proposals for new activities in his/her zone • Contributing to the design and implementation of sectoral advocacy activities in collaboration with the Nutrition and Health HoD Represent ACF and develop local partnerships • The professional standing of ACF in his/her geographical area • The distribution to partners of information collected locally • Respect for the principles and values of ACF in its relations with partners • The quality of relations with partners The applicant: You hold a master degree in nutrition, nursing or medical doctor, with a previous field experience as nutritionist position (minimum 2 years) with at least one successful CMAM/IMAM project management experience. Recognized for your capacity to work in a complex environment with different levels of coordination, you have developed excellent diplomatic communication, organizational skills and team management. Good experience in coordination with other organizations and training (CMAM protocols) Previous experience in Liberia would be an advantage. Fluent in English required.
