We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH COORDINATOR Country: In Myanmar, based in Yangon Length of contract: 12 months, renewable, starting from the 1st of December 2015 The position: Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will be in responsible ensure the development and design of the nutrition & health country strategy and quality programming in line with ACF and country technical policies. More precisally, you will in charge to: • Develop, monitor and supervise the action on the field of Nutrition - Realise regular field trips in Rakhine and Kayah state with the purpose of discussing each program component, define constraints, priorities and plans of action - Monitor and supervise the data collection and compilation for APR, the allocated budgets and standardized methodologies, protocols and tools with Program Managers (PM) - Provide technical support to PMs and ensure training and capacity building to the staff in overall management, reporting, strategic thinking and programming according to the identified needs - Develop innovative protocols, approach and methodology according to the needs • Define the Nutrition country strategy and positioning, coordinate needs identification and the formulation of project proposals - Provide analysis of nutrition & health humanitarian situation in the country - Prepare Nutrition positioning papers according to the needs - Propose advocacy activities on Nutrition at field and national level - Decide to launch related nutritional surveys • Promote capitalization through analysis and collection of qualitative data - Follow up studies and pilot projects in implementation areas - Extract critical lessons learned and good practices from final evaluations, program audits and monitoring reports • Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectorial coordination and technical forums, and develop sectorial partnerships - Represent ACF in dealings with national and international authorities and stakeholders in nutrition and health area. - Participate to coordination meetings, working group and clusters - Ensure the dissemination of the ACF nutrition and health strategy at country level to partners and funding bodies in his field of expertise - Raise funds for the conduct of nutrition related activities The applicant: You hold a Master degree in Nutrition, Medical Doctor, Public Health or equivalent and have a minimum of two years field experience in coordination positions, with an NGO, on preventing malnutrition programmes. You hold an extensive experience in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition and community based approach and a proven experience in nutrition programs designing. An experience in both emergencies and development contexts is required. Experiences of working in partnerships and advocate for improvements in the Nutrition Sector at the National level, as well as knowledge of systems strengthening, are required. A proven experience in writing proposals, leading on sourcing of new funding and developing coherent and contextualized Nutrition Strategies will be compulsory. Excellent diplomacy, organisational, communication and representation skills are required. Excellent team management experience compulsory: You have been recognized as a trainer and a coach for national members of your team. Fluency in English (oral and written) is compulsory.
