We are looking for: A SMART ROVING SURVEY PROGRAM MANAGER Context: All ACF Missions Since 2007, ACF has been leading initiatives in SMART (Standardised Monitoring Assessment in Relief and Transition) and has trained over 1000 health workers in 20 countries on how to apply this methodology when conducting nutrition and mortality surveys. As project convenor, ACF is directly involved in the development and dissemination of standardised training tools to build essential skills in SMART and to provide ongoing technical assistance to Cluster agencies during the survey process. ACF also helps improve inter-agency response capacity through its Essential Survey Service (ESS), whereby SMART experts are deployed during large-scale emergencies to provide technical guidance and trainings for the surveys that need to be undertaken. Length of contract: 11 months, starting as soon as possible The position: Under the direct supervision of the ACF France Health & Nutrition senior advisor and in close collaboration of the Nutrition Advisors and Nutrition Coordinators in country of deployment, the Roving Survey Program Manager (RSPM) will be responsible to: • Conduct survey planning • Manage surveys • Plan, support and follow up on capacity development for surveys • Appropriately represent ACF and coordinate externally • Produce timely and quality reports. • Provide remote support to the Global SMART project • Attend planning sessions, team meetings and annual performance reviews as required led by ACF-FR Health & Nutrition Senior Advisor. The applicant: Post-graduate diploma in Nutrition and/or Public Health, with a specific focus on humanitarian and developments contexts. A significant experience in undertaking nutrition surveys on the field is compulsory, as well as a first-hand knowledge and experience of the SMART survey methodology and ENA, Epi/ENA or Epi Info software. Successful applicants will hold at two-years of experience in undertaking nutrition and mortality surveys They also are recognized for their training and capacity building abilities as well their team management and organizational skills Willing for frequent travel to mentor and monitor activities is mandatory Both excellent English and French writing and presentation skills are required.
