UNICEF is looking for French speaking consultants experienced with survey, planning and implementation, using SMART methods. Several vacancies will be open, in various countries in the West and Central African region, between May-October 2015.
TASKS
The contracts will be for the implementation of national and/or sub-national nutrition surveys, representative on the regional level. Survey coordination will be completed in collaboration with the national technical committees. Following SMART methods, standardization of anthropometrists, data entry in the field and intensive supervision on data quality will be required. The responsibilities of the consultant will include development/finalization of the survey protocol, budget, timeline, sampling, training, field-testing, data collection, supervision, data entry, report and presentation of results (about 10 weeks).
REQUIRED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Post graduate degree in public health nutrition or other related fields;
- Experience with nutrition surveys and SMART methods;
- Good research, survey/evaluation report writing skills;
- Good understanding of malnutrition related issues;
- Excellent skills in statistical analysis tools/software;
- Fluency in French
