[url]https://www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/401009800[/url] The Nutritionist will provide technical oversight, policy guidance and state-of-the-art technical leadership in maternal child health, nutrition and HIV food aid related issues to USAID headquarters and its Missions, host countries, and public/private counterparts. The Nutrition Advisor will work with international and regional organizations and USAID field missions, and coordinate with technical officers from the Bureau for food Security (BFS), Bureau for Global Health, Population and Nutrition (GH) and Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA) to develop programs, policies and strategies to support the development and implementation of the Global Hunger and Food Security Initiative and Feed the Future, in Food for Peace countries/programs. The three key objectives of these efforts are: (1) Promote inclusive agricultural growth, (2) Reduce under nutrition; and (3) increasing the resilience of vulnerable populations; impact of Humanitarian assistance. The Nutritionist will focus on the latter two objectives as well as on the integration of the recently launched USAID Nutrition Strategy into both humanitarian and development assistance.
