We are looking for: A NUTRITION AND HEALTH COORDINATOR Context: In Yemen, based in Sana’a Length of Contract: 12 Months, starting from the 15 of March 2015 The position: Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will be responsible to provide leadership in nutrition and health programs implementation. Yemen mission runs a large-scale and diverse nutrition and health programmes in volatile security context. The Nutrition & Health Coordinator needs will have the opportunity to oversee a challenging but interesting programming both in North and South Yemen. More precisely, you will be in charge to: • Regularly conduct needs assessment and create up-to date understanding of humanitarian needs in Yemen with focus on ACF’s operational areas • Formulate the nutrition & health strategy for the mission; and develop appropriate response (including but not limited to proposal writing) • Conduct relevant mission-wide training in health related subjects for mission staff with emphasis on thematic areas related to prevention, diagnostic and treatment of maternal and child under-nutrition. • Actively engage with all relevant actors at the national level • Follow-up and manage Deputy Head of Nutrition & Health Department and Nutrition & Health Programme managers • Contribute to follow-up on budget consumption, activities progress, & procurement of required materials The applicant: Master degree in nutrition, nursing or medical doctor with demonstrated and diversified experience in managing primary health care and nutrition programs in the field, preferably in a coordination position. An extensive experience in Community-based Management of Acute Malnutrition and in Primary Health Care provision is compulsory, as well, medical and nutrition programs designing. Successful applicants will have a proven track record of setting up strong relationship and trust within the community and stakeholders of the programs. Analytical skills and ability to manage concurrently running tasks where assessment time is limited are required. Capacity to train and capacity to build of his team members is required. Excellent command of English required.
