We are looking for: AN INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL PROGRAM MANAGER Context: In Sierra Leone, based in Moyamba, on Ebola emergency context. If you want to know more about Ebola Emergency Response of ACF, visit our blog: [url]http://blog.actioncontrelafaim.org/ebola[/url] Length of contract: 12months starting as soon as possible The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to contribute to the establishment, improvement and evaluate infection prevention and control within PHU’s and hospitals. More precisely, you will be in charge to: • Ensure project implementation, monitoring and reporting o Participate in the national Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) in hospital/PHU working group and contribute towards SOPs and training manuals o Conduct IPC trainings with the MoHS IPC focal person for hospital staff o Conduct rounds in hospital wards and PHU’s, discussing and monitoring infection control practices with staff o Support the management of infection control data, and investigates all incidents of infection and reports on incidents to the hospital IPC committee. o Support the hospital management team to identify IPC breakages, and to develop and implement improvement plans o Co-chair the hospital IPC committee o Develop technical guidelines for the implementation of project o Plan and supervise the implementation of project’s activities o Implement Donors and ACF visibility on the working sites of her project o Implement in the working sites of the safety measures/rules for both ACF teams and the populations/public o Identify the technical constraints associated with the implementation of the projects and propose innovative technical solutions • Contribute to evaluation, accountability and impact measurement of her project • Ensure local ACF representation and coordination in her area of intervention and develop local partnership • Manage, supervise and train the team • Contribute to capitalization and technical development in your sector • Contribute to the definition and implementation of ACF policies, positioning and strategies of Health and Nutrition Department in the mission The applicant: You hold a Master Degree in Nutrition, Nursing, Epidemiology or Medecinie with a previous field experience in Nutrition and Health programs in development contexts on humanitarian program management. You have excellent knowledge in Clinical Management, Epidemiology and Health Systems. Recognized for your representative skills, you have developed excellent diplomatic communication, organizational skills and team management. Good experience in coordination with other organizations, local partners and government is necessary. You are also able to manage stress linked to Ebola outbreak and precaution requirements. Previous experience in Western Africa would be an advantage. A first experience with ACF would be an asset. Fluent in English required.
