Agency: WFP Sudan Duty Station : Khartoum Title: Social and Behavior Change Communication Expert Duration: 4 months Purpose of Assignment The overall objective is to develop a comprehensive Social Marketing Strategy (including BCC) for the ramp-up, launch, implementation, and continuation of the project, incorporating lessons learned from the formative research conducted in 2014, capitalizing on programmatic experiences from WFP, and drawing on expertise in BCC. Specific objectives include: Objective 1: To review existing MNP BCC strategies and assess the strengths and limitations of each; Objective 2: To determine key messages to disseminate to the target audiences taking into account potential barriers and maximizing use of potential facilitators; Objective 3: To determine the most appropriate media and channels for reaching the target audience for implementing BCC Objective 4: To assist in designing options for packaging, messages, and Information Education Material, pilot test, refine and finalize; Objective 5: To document the strategy for operationalizing the various components of the Social Marketing Strategy. Objective 6: To develop M&E logic model and logic framework for the Social Marketing component (including BCC) Expected Outputs o Social Marketing Strategy, considering free distribution and market base platform o Social Marketing plan o Social Marketing tools developed o M&E logic model and logic framework for the Social Marketing component (including BCC) Required Qualifications and Competencies o Advanced University degree in social sciences, public health, nutrition or other related field. o Additional qualification or relevant experience in BCC, communication and social mobilization o Previous experience in developing materials for social mobilization / social marketing. o Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse staff among various organizations o The incumbent should be fluent in English and preferably in Arabic, as well as have report writing capabilities.
