We are looking for: A PSYCHOLOGIST - MENTAL HEALTH CARE PRACTICES TRAINER Country: Based in Dohuk Governorate, Kurdistan Regional Government Length of Contract: 3 months, starting as soon as possible Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to implement a training program for the Department of Health (DoH) in Dohuk, in the domain of Mental Health Care Practice (MHCP), as a training of trainer approach (ToT). More precisely, you will be in charge to: • Oversee the training, with the input and approval of Head of Department (HoD) and ACF. o Review of relevant expertise of DoH o Developing training curriculum and implementation schedule o In Support with the DoH, organizing the logistics of the training o Assist with hiring of translator and manage with logistics as necessary • Conduct training o Conduct the required training following the timeline define below o Collaborate with the logistic team and DoH in the logistic set up of the training o Share the training support with the DoH prior to the training • Produce a final report o The report shall include all information and analysis of the methodology of the training o The report shall as well include a section on background and context o It shall as well integrate DOH ideas for future training, according to DOH needs in training o The trainer shall deliver a training manual Qualification and previous experience: Graduate and/or post-graduate degree in psychology. At least two years of experience in delivering training on MHCP with a humanitarian NGO. Proven experience of training experience, capacity building and management skills in MHCP. Strong writing, presentation and communication skills necessary. Background in transcultural and cultural sensitivity. A first experience with ACF will be a plus. English necessary at a professional level (oral and written). Speaking and writing in Arabic or Kurdish will be an asset.
