We are looking for: A PSYCHOLOGIST MENTAL HEALTH AND CARE PRACTICES COORDINATOR Country: Jordan, based in Amman with field visits in the Kurdistan Regional Government Length of Contract: 3 months renewable, starting as soon as possible Responsibilities: The Coordinator of Mental Health and Care Practices (MHCP) will be in charge to coordinate the programmes and define a strategy for mental health and care practices. More specifically, the Coordinator will be charged to : Ensure the evolution of the humanitarian situation as regards of psychosocial, mental health and care practices in KRG and Jordan: collect and analyse information on mental health, care practices and protection and propose adapted interventions. Suggest operational researches linked to the projects. Contribute to defining programs’ strategy and to develop the MHCP activities in Jordan and KRG: assess the population needs. Propose intervention strategies and adjust the existing programs if needed. Identify potential donors for MHCP and write proposals for them. Guarantee a transversal approach of the interventions. Follow up of the programs: Insure the quality and the relevance of the interventions and validate the methodologies. Supervise the MHCP program managers: Provide adapted support to the MHCP program managers in order to implement the programs and Monitor the programs. Be part of the external coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders and other actors in the mental health field and share experience in order to improve the projects’ development. Represent ACF. Ensure the confidentiality and the ethic of activities. Qualification and previous experience: You hold a master degree in psychology or psychiatry, and demonstrate both successful clinical and humanitarian field experiences in mental health and care practices. You have at least 2 years of experience on a similar position. Recognized for your relational and communicational skills, you have developed strong training and team supervision capacities. You know how to adapt yourself within a fast working environment and team setting. You are recognized for your sense of confidentiality and your representative skills. Your English (oral and written) is fluent. A first experience with ACF will be an asset.
