We are looking for: A SQUEAC OFFICER
Country: Afghanistan, based in Kabul with regular field visit possibly all over Afghanistan
Length of Contract: 12 months, starting from the 1st of July 2014
General objective: Under the supervision of the Nutrition and Health Monitoring and Evaluation Program Manager, you will be responsible to ensure the implementation of 8 Semi-Quantitative Evaluations of Access and Coverage (SQUEAC) in partnership with local implementers of nutrition and health basic services in Afghanistan
Responsibilities: More precisely, you will be in charge to:
• Preparation of SQUEAC evaluations.
• Organization of SQUEAC evaluations
• Collect field data for correction and analyse them
• Write the SQUEAC evaluation’s final reports
• Ensure internal coordination and external representation
Qualification and previous experience: You have at least 2 years in humanitarian sector, in management of nutrition projects and management of SQUEAC evaluations.
You have strong knowledge and a first experience in monitoring and evaluation including nutrition and health assessments and surveys (SQUEAC). You hold good knowledge in nutrition.
You have a first successful experience in partnership management.
Excellent communication, sense of diplomacy and negotiation skills compulsory.
Ability to work in a highly sensitive environment.
Fully Fluent in English.
Status:
Volunteer status (VSI) for applicants:
- with less than 5 years of work experiences and less than 12 months of humanitarian experience in expatriation with NGO
- or with more than 5 years of work experiences but less than 10 years of work experiences and less than 6 months of humanitarian experience in expatriation with NGO:
- Fixed-term contract of 1 year, renewable
- All expenses paid on the field:
o Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average
o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average,
o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average
o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 254€ /month directly paid on the field
o Per Diem : 161€ /month directly paid on the field
- €838 of indemnities per month on your bank account
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- Acquisition of 2.5 days of paid leaves per entirely worked month
- Recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission + break allowances
- Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris
Salaried status for applicant with the profile required:
Total average yearly gross income: from 42245€ to 47120€
- All expenses paid on the field:
o Support to the R & R costs : 110€/month average
o Transportation costs to and from the mission : 460€/ month average,
o Collective or individual accommodation depending on position : 700€/month average
o Food and hygiene expenses (living allowance) : 254€ /month directly paid on the field
o Per Diem : 161€ /month directly paid on the field
- Gross monthly salary ranging from €1600 to €1975 (13rd month included), depending on relevant experience
- Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance provided by the institution
- 25 days of annual paid leaves
- 20 days of extra leaves per year (taken as recovery time breaks of one week every 2 or 4 months depending on the mission) + break allowances
- Pre departure training, at the HQ in Paris
