Under the overall guidance of the Deputy Representative (Programmes), the incumbent will be accountable for the development, design, planning, implementation and management of the Nutrition programme within the country programme; accountable for ensuring that all aspects of the Nutrition programme promote gender and equity, with emphasis on gender and equity data disaggregation to guide policies, programmes, monitoring and evaluation. As head of section, you will direct, lead and manage a group of professional and support staff to develop, manage and monitor the sectoral and inter-sectoral components of the programme, mainstreaming equity and gender across the programme. Minimum qualifications and requirements: • Advanced university degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences, or related discipline. (Or an undergraduate degree plus at least 14 years of demonstrated professional experience in the field of Public Health, Nutrition, Health Sciences, International Health & Nutrition, Public Health & Nutrition Policy and Management, Family and Community Health & Nutrition, Nutritional Epidemiology, Health & Nutrition Education, Health & Nutrition Promotion and Disease Prevention, Public Health Preparedness, Health Emergency Preparedness) • Ten years of relevant professional work experience. Developing country work experience and field work experience required. Experience of working in Emergency context is an asset. • Training in gender and nutrition programmes that promote gender equality is an asset. • Strong communication and management skills required. • Fluency in English required.
