Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters. MSF Austria is looking for a Nutrition specialist (f/m) - Consultant for a 3 months literature review in “Nutrition in HIV, Tuberculosis and Kala Azar” The nutrition specialist shall summarize the actual knowledge on nutrition in HIV, Tuberculosis and Kala Azar through a literature review on publications, peer-reviews, grey literature database and guidelines. The final outcome and the recommendations of the review should allow MSF to update the nutritional aspects in HIV, Tuberculosis and Kala Azar guidelines. Position responsibilities • To conduct an overview on the evidence available on the nutritional needs in HIV, Tuberculosis, HIV-TB and Kala Azar and its review resulting in improvement of the actual strategies. • To summarize the findings, including literature list on articles and analysis (meta-analysis) stratified into patients groups: children, adolescent, adult and elderly. • To identify gaps in evidences and fields that can be tackled by operational research. Your qualification • 3 years of professional experience in nutrition and in HIV-Tuberculosis programs in humanitarian contexts • Experience in Kala Azar is a plus • Fluent working language in English, French skills is a plus • Scientific experience, especially literature reviews • Medical doctor, nurse and/or nutritionist with a master’s degree in nutrition and/or medical-nutrition Our offer • Consultancy contract • Total lump sum to the amount of 12.000 EUR (excl.
