NUTRITIONIST HEAD OF PROJECT SPECIALIST IN INFANT AND YOUNG CHILD PRACTICES LEBANON Ref: HOPNUT/LB/13 ACF is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for ACF in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation. ACF Spain has been present in Lebanon since March 2007 and has moved from a recovery to a development phase. Our main intervention sectors are water and sanitation and agricultural development, with emergency response preparedness also planned. Wherever possible, ACF Spain is working through partnerships with Lebanese NGOs in order to increase sustainability of its projects. Target populations include vulnerable groups such as farmers in specific geographical locations (southern Lebanon) and marginalized Palestinian Refugee populations. ACF Spain is looking for an Nutritionist Head of Project in Bekka Valley, Lebanon. OBJECTIVES: Implement/monitor the IYCF programme (care of pregnant and lactating women and children under 2 years of age) In Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. He/she will be responsible for the planning, the conception, the starting, the follow-up, the evaluation of the project and the hand over. Ensure program consistency and good collaboration amongst the nutrition team and others ACF teams for comprehensive care of the program beneficiaries. RESPONSABILITIES • Establish a nutrition team • Identify implementation places for nutrition project within our current area of intervention in Bekaa Valley • Introduce nutrition messages in health promotion activities • Put in place a system for nutritional surveillance • Write a nutrition proposal for Phase 2 of nutrition strategy mission PROFILE • Nurse/Nutritionist with experience in the management of nutrition programs in emergency situations. IYCF experience in emergency. • Good capacity of analysis. • Competences in training. • Communications, observation, listening skills, motivation, and in management of teams and problems. Good team spirit and ability to work in a team. • Autonomy, creativity, adaptability and flexibility. • Computer knowledge: Word, Excel. • Good knowledge of the area and local customs. • Due to the specific Muslim context and the sensitiveness of the topics, females are especially encouraged to apply • English – fluent. Arabic REMUNERATIVE PACKAGE We offer immediate incorporation to a dynamic international network with the following remuneration package: • Work contract: 3 month forecast duration • Salary: from 1375€ to 1750€ gross per month according to candidate’s previous experience (according to standard list of ACF- Spain). ACF- Spain remuneration system allows a salary progression based on the annual development appraisal • Up to 20% additional remuneration according to the position’s context and responsibilities (according to standard ACF-E grading scale) • House and maintenance covered by the organization (including per diem): package estimated according to the destination. • Travel costs to and from the mission. • 25 working days of holidays per year. • Break: additional rest period, including travel cost to a reference area and economic help of 215€. • Travel and accident insurance and repatriation on account of the organization. • Extra per month and per child (Under 18 years old): from 100€ to 225€ monthly (according to standard list of ACF-Spain) REQUIREMENTS We will only consider CV’s received by email.
