We are pleased to let you know that applications for the 2013 Professional Short Course in NIE in Thailand are now being accepted. The course will be run by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC), is scheduled for the 7th to the 18th October, 2013, and will be held in Bangkok. The course will cover key elements of NIE, including: • Assessments, surveys and surveillance • Food security and food assistance • Micronutrient interventions • Management of acute malnutrition • Infant and young child feeding in emergencies It will also include more general issues such as coordination, humanitarian standards and emergency preparedness.
